Sensation Star pro dancer Cheryl Burke contracts COVID-19 a day before taping.

Cheryl Burke, while speaking, stated she had Covid. The dancing sensation pronounced the news in an emotional video post on her Instagram page on Sunday night. While discussing her symptoms, Burke confirmed she received full COVID-19 vaccination with the Moderna Shot.

Burke is a DWTS personality and a partner for American fitness instructor Cody Rigsby's.

"I have bad news. I have tested positive for the virus, hence I have contracted COVID-19. I feel bad for my partner Cody, and I feel I have let him down to be honest. The new is overwhelming as it comes a day before the show of taping," an emotional Burke stated (Towers, 2021).

"Moreover, I felt it was my responsibility to let you know, and I have been as open and real as possible. I hope I didn’t spread the virus. The virus is real and I have been ordered to stay at home and quarantine. For those who don’t believe the virus is real. Take care," stated Beryl.

Cheryl and her partner Cody made their appearance on the dancing with the stars show season thirty with an emphatic tango performance for Physical by Dua Lipa. The two scored twenty-four out of possible thirty points, with the show judges of Len Goodman, Derek Hough, Bruno Tonioli, and Carrie Anna Inaba pleased with the performance. "You two are fabulous and got great energy, and there exists a lot of positivity between you two," Judge Carrie Ann message to Rigsby.

Burke introduced Cody on her Instagram page. It was after the airing of the DWTS first episode. "So excited to reveal my partner Cody Rigsby and tonight was great thanks for the overwhelming support guys," (Sachdeva, 2021).

The DWTS first premiered in 2005. It’s renewed its 30th season in 2021. The show pair’s celebrities with professional dancers and each of the couple perform predetermined dances. The couples compete against one another, and the judges score while the audiences vote for their favorite couples (Nocera, 2021). The couples that receive a combined judge’s score and audience vote’s lowest count get eliminated weekly until the last couple is crowned champion.

The fate of dancer Rigsby on the DWTS remains currently unclear. Rigsby is a top-rated instructor on Peloton. Peloton gained popularity among the Americans during the Covid-19.

Burke joins celebrities Ana Navarro and Sunny Hostin in confirming positive corona test over the last two weeks. The duo confirmed their positive tests and were forced to exit their show the view before interviewing U.S vice president Kamala Harris.

However, earlier in 2021, Burke made headlines for the wrong reasons. She was making an apology to her former partner Ian Ziering for her comments. While speaking at her podcast, Burke acknowledged her selfish acts and tried to get reactions while putting him as her punching bag. She acknowledged her disrespect to him and his family, and she stated she regrets her acts to date.
